Missionaries serving in the Guatemala Quetzaltenango Mission go to the Guatemala Missionary Training Center in Guatemala City.  The current MTC president and his wife are Robert and Eugenia Cox. They began their service in January of 2014.

Robert Thomas Cox, 61, and Rebecca Eugenia Friend Cox, four children, Tulare 2nd Ward, Porterville California Stake: Guatemala Missionary Training Center. Brother Cox is a former president of the Mexico Leon Mission, counselor in a stake presidency, stake executive secretary, bishop, ward mission leader, temple ordinance worker and missionary in the Andes Peru Mission. Owner of Cox Farming. Born in Tulare, Calif., to Howard Marion and Dorothy Marie Cox. Sister Cox served with her husband in the Mexico Leon Mission and is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Relief Society and Young Women president and temple ordinance worker. Born in Santa Monica, Calif., to Rollis Lewis and Mary Viola Friend.

Lewis Enoch Bautista, 63, and Leslie Janet Eddington Bautista, four children, Plymouth Ward, Minneapolis Minnesota Stake. Brother Bautista serves as stake president and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and high councilor. Retired President and CEO, Eddingtons. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Enoch and Josephine Wager Ruth Bautista.

Sister Bautista is a former stake Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, strengthening marriage instructor, ward Young Women adviser, ward Relief Society teacher, and ward family history consultant. Born in Lehi, Utah, to Elmo Keith and June Anderson Eddington.

The Bautistas will be released in July 2014.


Presidente & Hermana SmithRick L. Smith, 60, and Lynda Lee Smith, three children, Brighton 8th Ward, Salt Lake Brighton Stake are succeeding President Lewis Bautista and Sister Leslie Bautista in July 2014. Brother Smith recently served as executive secretary to the Central America Area Presidency and is a former high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, institute teacher and missionary in the Mexico North Central Mission. Retired managing director, Merrill Lynch. Born in Fullerton, Calif., to Lloyd Dean Smith and Delores Mae Craig Smith.

Sister Smith served with her husband in the Central America Area and is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, Church-service missionary and seminary teacher. Born in Blue Island, Ill., to Berton Eugene Lee and Jeanette Bell Brewer Lee.
